Russell Outdoors APXg2™ L4 Gale Two Layer Soft Shell Jacket is fashioned as a mid/outer layer in the APXg2™ system. This piece is great as an outer layer in low precip conditions or as a mid-layer in the 5 level system. Multi-directional stretch fabric allows movement in any position without constriction. The quiet, abrasion resistant fabric with micro-fleece lining provides extreme comfort and extreme protection from wind exposure. Bonded zippers and pockets provide less stress area where stitching could degrade the structure of the fabric. Fabric: 100% Polyester. This is the most popular jacket sold in the Russell APX Line, technical outer layer similar to Sitka 90% Jacket, but much less cost!

Awesome all around jacket!

Just finished up some November hunting, weather conditions ranging from low 20's to almost 50, and this jacket was great as an outer layer, I just added clothing underneath as needed whether hiking or glassing, depending on temp. If there is one all purpose jacket to have in your arsenal, this is it from Russell.
My ANY conditions jacket!

I'm either wearing this jacket or packing it in my Eberlestock Blue Widow anywhere I go in Idaho, ANY time of the year! This jacket has withstood some very serious spring thunderstorms and is perfect for cool mornings and nights in the summer and fall. This year I also put the Gale through a week of late season mule deer hunts where the thermometer never found 2 digits! More than happy with this jacket and 5 star service as well, Chad really knows this gear because he uses it himself!

I ordered this jacket two weeks ago and used it in Florida on a turkey hunt. Morning temps were in the mid 40's and by noontime it was low 80's. I used an Underarmor tee shirt and this jaket as my outer layer. I was comfortable the entire time. Never got hot or clammy. Camo work in all different ste-ups.I killed a gobbler at 12 tweleve yards and a hog a 10. Great product and SUPER service. Thanks Chad!

Wow, was about to drop some coin on a Sitka 90% when I ran across Linton Outdoors site, glad I talked to them first, this L4 APXg2 jacket is exactly what I was looking for, probably saved me over $100, and I actually like it better than the Sitka jacket. Its warm yet not bulky, and rolls up in my pack nicely on the warm days, and I can already tell its better quality.

Just ordered more APXg2, L5 Raingear, cant wait to try it out...from Linton Outdoors of course! Thanks guys
