Took this jacket to Kodiak Alaska for a week long deer hunt. I wore it every day since even when it did not rain, we got very wet due to the tall brush. We had one day of very heavy rain and I stayed dry and warm. The only place the jacket got wet at all was on the inside of sleeve where my very wet gloves wicked water directly onto the cuff seam. The water did not go any further, so my shirt sleeves stayed dry. The hood worked great to keep the water off my face and did not restrict my view too much. The jacket held up to constant rubbing from devils club and berry vines and did not tear or get damaged in any way. I should have purchased the pants at the same time, but will buy them for the next trip!

I bought this after returning from a SE Alaska bear hunt in which my Helly Hansen rubber raingear worked flawlessly, but my GoreTex leaked in the sleeves. Rubber raingear is dry from the outside, but leaves you wet from the inside out. I tested this jacket at a high school fooball game in a driving rain storm. After 2 plus hours of constant rain I was bone dry. At one point I even took the hood off because I thought the rain had stopped. It quickly went back on when I discovered that it was still raining. Great product.

I recently used the stormtight jacket during an elk hunt in Montana. It rained for three days straight and the jacket kept me dry. It also did a good job of blocking the wind, so helped keep me warm when used over my merino base layers. As someone else mentioned it isn't the quietest rain jacket, but it isn't terribly loud either. Lightweight and decently packable. The jacket seems durable, so limits the packability to a degree. I was also impressed with the breathability of the jacket. I didn't seem to sweat up as quickly as other rain gear I have worn. Didn't use the pit zips, but that could only help further if really hiking hard.
Overall, very happy with the purchase. Have since ordered the matching rain pants to replace an older medicore pair. The stuff isn't cheap, but it certainly helps keep you comfortable when it gets nasty outside.

I was apprehensive about spending this much on rain gear. However I ended up wearing it as an outer layer on cold mornings. It is tough as well waded through the worst alders you could possibly imagine without so much as a scratch. It's not as quite as fleece but it's not overly noisy either. The pit zips are awesome. Just look at it as an investment take care of it and will way outlast some of the cheaper rain gear.

Had it out in a few thunderstorms here in Wisconsin and it performed awesome, very light and fairly quite for rain gear. I'll be taking it to Newfoundland in September and expect it to work great

I live on the southern oregon coast where we pride ourselves on the difficult wet conditions we have to hunt in. I was in need of a good rain jacket that could keep up with my wilderness hunting. I believe I have found that jacket. It was raining when I received it so I went right to work at digging a ditch in the pouring down rain.(I even had a gutter that was dumping on top of me). In the two hours time the only moisture to reach my skin was my own sweat. I then un zipped the pit pockets which worked flawlessly at cooling me down.
The storm front jacket looks good, performs good and wears very comfortably. I can't wait to put it to the test during deer season. When the pants come up I'll be buying those as well.
Linton outdoors is my go to company! Absolute top notch customer service, quick and accurate shipping and just a great group of people to deal with.
Much thanks and happy hunting!

Did very, very good. It rained on me nearly every day. Pulled it out, waited for rain to end then took it off before my long walks. It kept me very dry.
