I have two of these jackets. One in fusion, the other in pine. In the woods, with the other first lite layers, it is a great compliment. Warm enough for long trips in the stand and not bulky or to much insulation for active hunts. In addition it is light and packable for when greater activity calls. The solid colors are nice enough to be an everyday winter coat and are suitable with a variety of attire. The added features of it being essentially a hunting jacket just adds to it when it comes to utilization as a personal, everyday winter coat. Most anything Mother Nature tosses your way during the winter, this jacket has got you covered. With a greater density of insulation in the chest, than arms and a adjustable hood, this coat can lock you up tight to keep the nasty out. Let's not forget, being able to pack this jacket into its pocket is also a feature that should not go unnoticed. What you get in return is a nice, functional pillow that comes in handy at the cabin, tent, or the office.

I bought one of these last year for a Colorado elk hunt and loved it so much I bought another one for everyday.
This jacket is not meant for 10 degree tree stand hunting.
It is meant to wear while hiking or setting and glassing. It's meant to be worn with layers. On that note though,I've worn this with just a t-shirt underneath it in about 30-35 degree weather and don't get cold. You don't even know you are wearing a jacket. I don't get to hot or sweat in this jacket when I'm hiking. If I had the money I would buy two more.

I have not used this puffy for hunting, but it is warm and is of great quality. You can see how the arms are tapered to allow for room for the bowstring when shooting. I got mine in Realtree Max 1 and the inside is a coyote brown color instead of the white that I have seen on some other styles. I love it so far!

This is a great jacket for on the mountain or in town. They run big so I had to size down. I am 6'2" 175 lbs and had to order a small. This jacket has taken the place of a down puffy and soft shell in my pack. Pockets are deep and sit high for access with your pack on and the arms are long and tapered to the wrist but not tight. Highly recommend.

Compacts down and weighs nothing. Almost too warm but breaths really well. Wish it had pit zips. Great camp pillow too. Little noisy for bow hunting but I'm gonna try it anyway. Prob will only be wearing it when I'm resting anyway cause it's so flipping warm. Highly recommend

I actually own two of these jackets. I know how they can be used as a normal jacket or used in a layering system in sub 0 temperatures. I like how small the jacket can be founded. This jacket is a must on backpacking trips or when size and weight are factors. I use mine in every scenario imaginable....my last trip I wore this jacket when it was -22.

I pack this jacket as both an emergency layer and as a quick way to warm up after down-packing. It is a very quick means to cutting a chill, even if you are wet/sweaty/exhausted. I would not want to wear it under a pack (get hot quickly), but it works perfectly either when you stop for glassing or some other reason. We just returned from elk hunting at 8K' plus and the last pack out (with elk) was in a snow storm after dark. I can't tell you how much I appreciated putting on this First Lite puffy at the end. I went from chilled and spent to functional in a few minutes. This jacket will make the cut for all of my future hunts. I agree that the material is a little bit noisy, but I didn't buy it for stalking. I like the convenience of stuffing the jacket into its own pocket. Kept it clean and my pack tidy.

I have used this jacket in a wide variety of conditions and have been impressed every time!
20 degrees and windy while sitting on coyote stands? It'll do it.
Braving a high country thunder storm while morning glassing for muleys? Piece of cake.
The sleeves are even cut so you can shoot a bow with no issues!
This jacket does everything the description says it does. Not easy to find a piece of gear that is as good as advertised, but this one is!
I hope they make it in green next year...I'll own 2 if they do!

Very warm, lite weight, comfortable, looks good. Sizing is suspect. I wear XL in all First Lite shirts but this feels slightly big. Get compliments every where when I wear it. Overall very happy with purchase. Plan on getting one in ASAT soon.
