I tried on every backpack out there. Even the packs made for "women" and nothing fit right. Most were either to heavy or lacked adjustments to fit a women or both. The TZ 4000 has so many size adjustments that I can make it fit my 5'10" frame and its' light. I have taken it on small 3 day trips and am gearing up for our 6 day elk trip. Love all the thoughtful design that went into the pack. I would like to see mesh or drain holes in the section of the pack used to haul out meat. Side mesh it great but heavy mesh or large drain holes on the bottom would be nice. Love this pack.

I got my new TZ 4000 in the mail the other day and I love it! I live in Canada and it only took a week to get it. I haven't packed any meat out with it yet, but it looks like I'll be able to pack more than I can handle. So far I am very satisfied with my new pack. It has more than enough room in it to pack up for a weekend hunt (plus pack some meat out), but it can also sinch up small enough to use as a day pack. I spoke with Chad from Linton Outdoors a couple times, he was very helpful. I am very satisfied with the service I received from Linton.

This is the best pack i've ever used. Definitely the most universal pack on the market and definitely very durable. It does however leave you wanting a little more. The back accessory is nice for your knives and a few other little things. But everything else, like survival equipment, goes in the back pocket in which you have to bury your body into the pack to reach. If they would have implement more little pockets on top of the water bladder pocket or made it easier to access the bottom of the big pocket, i would have gave this pack a 5 star. But still, best pack on the market with its adaptability to pack anything in or out with all the straps you could ever need to strap whatever down.

This pack is perfect pack. I hunt in Montana back country for mule deer. It carriers all your essentials. Then expands to pack your deer out. The gun carrier works great for hiking in before light and out with a deer packed. It holds tight to small of back to avoid any strain. I have had other top brand name packs. This by far the far the most comfrontable and convient.

After extensive research and online reviews, I made the right choice. This pack offers top notch construction, amazing adaptability, and massive storage capacity for it's size. The pack was easy to custom fit and provides excellent weight distribution. There may be less expensive packs on the market, but with the TZ4000 you definitely get what you pay for! Highly recommend

Couldn't find many reviews, so here's what I thought. I needed a bag for mostly bow hunting around home and with the possibility of over night or even a week. The 4000 does all of this perfectly! I can fit a heater body suit in side or strap to out side with the rest of my gear for around home. I can fit my cloths stove, water filter, hammock, sleeping bag ect... for longer trips. This thing has so many straps it's Un real! Oh yeah if you think you almost out of room, just open the meat compartment and add more stuff! Love all of the accessories, and the fact it's built like the big bags but you can use it every day. I was very skeptical at first and did a lot of research, and I'm very glad I went with the tz 4000!
I attempted to add photos but can't figure out how...

Very nice pack. This pack makes a heavy pack feel light. Built well.

Coming from central Illinois, I did not have a pack that could work as a day pack, be used for more than one day and that had a meat pocket. After much research, I opted for the Tenzing TZ 4000. I cannot believe how well I can organize all of "my stuff" (including spotting scope and tripod) into this pack and still have so much room left over! Secondly, I knew we would be hiking a lot in Wyoming and I did not want to carry my rifle with a bi-pod by hand or by sling the whole time. Therefore, the Bow / Gun carrying Boot worked very well. The last day we hiked 6 miles before taking our animals and this pack was a life saver. I will be using this pack as my everyday pack for my whitetail hunts in Illinois as well.

For the money, this pack cannot be beat! I was able to stuff 3 days of gear comfortably in this pack for day use. The best thing about it, I could take out my tent and sleep system and strap it down to a very small, form fitting pack. Also, being a very short waisted and small guy, I love being able to adjust the torso setting and have the pack actually form fit to my back and shoulders. The ability to have load lifters that actually function because they are off the shoulders and higher up of the pack were awesome! So many other packs do not have this ability and my shoulders and back become sore and fatigued easily For heavy loads it is absolutely essential.
Although I was hiking in hot weather, my back stayed much more dry than it has with other packs due to the construction and the materials. Other bonuses were: I could strap my G20 on the side in a holster and have easy access if needed. In addition, it rained and poured hard much of my time out. The large rain cover was a bit hard to unravel at first, but once deployed, it covered my entire pack including the belt straps if i so desired.
This is a very well made and thought out pack. It is quiet. Stitching is reinforced. Camo colors are brilliant. The extra room for meat and/or gear so close to your back is a big plus. The several pockets for organization were great for an OCD minded pack artist like myself! Tenzing spared nothing in this pack. I appreciate the fact that it can cinch down so well and be used for a day pack once my other gear is out and left at camp. It is just to hard for me to fit a scope and tripod and other essentials into a smaller day/fanny pack and the 4000 has the ability to do it well. You wont be disappointed in this pack. I have owned at least 15 packs, this is the keeper! Chad and his service at Linton had it to me lickety split and ready for the weekend. Great service as always.
